Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala-Murchison falls np
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel early in the morning before hitting the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. This Park is located about 300 kilometers north of Kampala, passing through the famous Luwero triangle and has a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and then has lunch at Kabalega dinners. We later proceed on entering the park through Kichombanyobo gate and visit the magnificent falls .
Day 2: Game drive – Boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, we drive down to the ferry and cross the Nile to the northern sector of the park and start our game drive towards the Delta area, in search for wildlife that includes; the Rothschild Giraffe, elephant, Jackson’s Hart beast, Lions, Warthogs, Kobs, Jackals, Oribis, Waterbucks, Patus monkeys and Leopards among others. Here also a variety of Savannah woodland birds can be seen. We go back to the lodge and relax .
Day 3: To kibale National Park
You will start your drive to western Uganda through the beautiful green scenery and the tea plantations. You will have a chance to interact with local people during the walk through the market after lunch. After lunch, you will have a one-hour drive to Kibale forest where you will have a chance to spot some monkeys, birds and Baboons on your way and during the stop-over.
Day 4; - chimpanzee trekking
Today you will have your breakfast at the lodge and prepare for your trip for Chimpanzee walk. Kibale forest National Park consists of around 13 primate species. While at the park, you will have a chanc to see many types of monkeys like; the wonderful Red Columbus, Grey cheeked mangabey, Black and white Columbus monkey, L’hoest monkey and the amazing Chimpanzees. Here you will experience our cousins today for one hour and the trip takes 3-4 hours walk.
Day 5; - To queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast, we drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, driving through the crater lakes region of Kabarole and do a mini game drive as we enter the park and check into the service of park view safari Lodge. We have lunch and relax around and later at 3:00 pm go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to view the wildlife from close quarters as they cool off along the shores of the Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth NP
The day begins early as we go for our morning game drive, heading for Kasenyi plains, towards the Kobs mating grounds, in search for wildlife that may include the Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Elephants, Buffaloes, lions, Leopards and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The game drives normally take 3 -4 hrs before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George.
Day7; - To Bwindi impenetrable NP
The day begins early as we start the game drive at 6:30am in the Kasenyi plains in search for wildlife which includes the Buffalos, Kobs, Warthogs, Elephants, Waterbucks, Lions, Hyenas, and on lucky days leopards among others. After the game drive that takes about 2 – 3 hours, we go back to the lodge for breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi through Ishasha sector where tree climbing lions can be seen according to the luck of the day.
Day8; - Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, at about 7:45am, we walk down to the visitors’ centre for registration and briefing before starting the gorilla trekking. The exercise may be strenuous walking up steep hills sometimes under muddy conditions. This activity may take about 2 – 8 hours, experiencing the Gorilla World, and for conservation purposes when you get them, you spend one hour with them and the guide will advise you on how to behave while with these great apes.
Day9; - L mburo np
After an African breakfast you will set off for lake mburo where you will have a nature walk before hitting the road to Kampala for dinner and over night
Day 10: - Kla to Mbale/sipi falls
After breakfast we drive towards eastern Uganda the most beautiful water falls, sipi fall are located in eastern in a district kapchorwa and the language which spoken there is called sabiny, in this place there are three main water falls you will arrive in the afternoon check in and then later go for city tour where you learn more about their culture called embalu and other things before going back the lodge for dinner and overnight at casa safari lodge
DAY 11; - HIKING AND COFFEE TOUR
You will wake up at 8:00am for breakfast before we drive to Sipi fall this drive always takes one to one and a half hour from mbale town depending on how the driver drives, when you reach in sipi falls you will start the hiking immediately guided by the local guide of that place and the hike takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on your speed, in the afternoon you will come back to the lodge where you will be having your lunch relax and then later go for a coffee tours.
DAY 12; -MBALE TO KAMPALA
After your breakfast we shall drive back to Kampala or to airport for your flight back home, That will be the end of the three days gorilla Safari Uganda, thank you for supporting Henry Tours and Safaris and we hope to host you again in Uganda.
