Itinerary
Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will clear with the immigrations and get tested for Covid 19. After this, you will be welcomed our driver guide who will brief you about your 7 Days Uganda Primate Safari and then transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and an overnight stay. Meals for the day will be at your own cost.

Transfer to Kibale NP
Kibale
After breakfast, you will embark on fascinating drive to Kibale Forest National Park passing through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta just at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Don’t forget to carry your hiking boots as they are ideal for forest walks. Lightweight raincoats and jackets are advisable because the altitude and the forest environment make evenings cool.

Kibale
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Park headquarters for briefing and eventual chimpanzee trekking starting at 8:00am. Your ranger guide will take you for a 2-5 hour guided primate walk inside Kibale Forest National Park. This forest provides an opportunity to visit habituated chimpanzees in their natural habitat and spend an hour observing, recording them and taking photographs. Kibale is home to about 13 primate species. Later in the afternoon, visit Bigodi for birding.

Transfer to Bwindi
Bwindi Impenetrable
After breakfast, check-out from the lodge and start off your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A lot will be enjoyed on this thrilling journey including the beautiful scenery, the rolling hills with terraced gardens of Irish potatoes and Kayonza tea plantation. The park is home to almost half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas and the only National Park where wild chimpanzees co-exist with mountain gorillas.

Gorilla trekking and Batwa Visit
Bwindi Impenetrable
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. The trek starts at 8:00am and may take from 40 minutes up to 6 hours depending on how far the gorillas have moved into the forest. Gorilla trekking can be quite strenuous and so a certain level of fitness is required. Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour to observe them, take photos, audio and visual recordings. Visit the Batwa later in the afternoon.

Return to Entebbe via Igongo museum
Your journey back to Entebbe from Bwindi becomes more enjoyable just by viewing endless rolling green hills from your car window. You will make a stopover at Igongo Cultural Village in Mbarara to explore the life style and culture of the Ankole and Bahima people well known for rearing long horned cattle. You will make another stopover for lunch at the Uganda Equator markings. You will proceed on your journey to Entebbe and upon arrival at your hotel, you will take COVID departure test.
