Itinerary

Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will clear with the immigrations and get tested for Covid-19. After this, you will be welcomed by our driver guide be briefed about your 13 Days Uganda Safari and then transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and an overnight stay. The meals for the day will be at an extra cost.

Travel to Murchison Falls NP

Murchison Falls

Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle, proceed to Masindi and after 2.5-3 hours, make your first stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Rhino tracking is done in the bushes on foot and can last from 2 to 3 hours depending on the location of the rhinos. After tracking the rhinos, you will have lunch en route and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, check in at your booked accommodation and relax at the facility.

Game drive and Boat cruise

Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee, and go for the early morning game drive. Expect to see the Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, and more besides. After lunch, go for a 2 hour boat trip upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron". En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles, visiting mammals and water birds at the river bank.

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Kibale | Murchison Falls

Driving from Murchison Falls to Kibale may take you half a day. Drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside; and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. A stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater lake-poked landscape and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”

Kibale

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park headquarters for briefing and eventual chimpanzee trekking starting at 8:00am. Your ranger guide will take you for a 2-5 hour guided primate walk inside Kibale Forest National Park. This forest provides an opportunity to visit habituated chimpanzees in their natural habitat and spend an hour with them observing, recording and taking photographs. After lunch visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for bird watching.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Kibale | Queen Elizabeth

It will take you about 2 hours to drive from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have an en-route game drive before checking in at the lodge. Have lunch and later in the afternoon go for the scenic crater drive to visit L. Katwe and watch how salt was mined since the 15th century.

Morning game drive and boat cruise

After a cup of coffee at 6:00, you will go for the early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile. You will drive through the park’s immense beauty of a blend of contrasting wildlife habitats. Expect to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel will be a worthwhile opportunity to see water birds, hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs and water birds.

Enganzi lodge (mid-range)

Ishasha game drive and go to Bwindi

You will drive through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha sector) where you will take on yet another game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Expect to see other safari favorites as well. Thereafter proceed to Bwindi. The journey takes about 2 hours but driving through interesting features. Upon arrival, you will check in at your booked accommodation, have lunch and later go for the Batwa community visit.

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. The trek starts at 8:00am and may take from 40 minutes up to 6 hours depending on how far the mountain gorillas have moved into the forest. Gorilla trekking can be quite strenuous and as such a certain level of fitness is required. Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour to observe the gorillas, take photos, audio and visual recordings.

Transfer to L.Mburo National Park

After early breakfast, you will start off your 3-4 hour journey to L. Mburo National Park. Make a stopover at Igongo cultural center to learn more about the Akole and Hima Culture. Proceed to L. Mburo National Park and do an en-route game drive as you go to check in at your lodge where you will have lunch. You will go for a nature walk after lunch to see the big game for example big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland, Warthogs, buffalo and other savannah species.

Morning game drive and Boat cruise

Lake Mburo

Wake up early and go for a morning game drive. Expect to see impalas, zebra’s, Topi, wild pig, warthog, waterbucks, among others. After lunch, later in the afternoon, a 2 hour boat ride amidst a bloat of hippos will be a much rewarding and amazing experience. Return to the lodge, relax, and have dinner.

Return to Entebbe

Check out to start off your journey back to Entebbe. Make a stopover at the equator markings for some photos and to buy for yourself some souvenirs at craft shops. Proceed to Entebbe and upon arrival at Entebbe, you will take your Covid-19 departure test at a cost of (150 USD) before checking in at your booked accommodation. You will wait for the results for about 2 hours or less but in the meantime you can have lunch at the facility. Spend the afternoon at leisure, overnight at the lodge.
