Itinerary

Day 01

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi and transfer to the Kilimanjaro National Park, Machame gate, where you will register, before you commence the climb with your guide, chef, and porters. Your first day takes you through the rain forest to the Machame Camp.

Day 02

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast you will leave the glades of the rain forest and follow an ascending path for about 3 hours on the open moorlands to the Shira camp located at an altitude of 12,500 feet (3800m). Enjoy views of the summit cone and the remains of the Shira volcano and plateau.

Day 03

Kilimanjaro

After leisurely breakfast at Lava Tower you get to the screen slope at the foot of the arrow glacier turn right and descend the Barranco valley to the Baranco Camp for dinner and overnight. (13,044 feet (3,976m)

Day 04

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast at Baranco Camp, proceed ascending to Barafu Camp. Picnic lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at Barafu Camp. (15,331 feet (4,673m).

Day 05

Kilimanjaro

At midnight, start trekking to the summit. On reaching the Summit (Uhuru Peak) (5,895 m/19,340 ft) make photos and later descend down for dinner and overnight at Millennium Camp (3820 m/12530 ft).

Millenium or Mweka Camp

Day 06

Kilimanjaro

Continue your descent to Mweka Gate (1,500m) and collect your certificates for successful trek, and then drive to Arusha/Moshi for overnight or to the airport for onward flight
