Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta conservancy: Drive time 3.5 Hours After your breakfast at the Giraffe manor, depart at 9.00 a.m and drive to Mt. Kenya’s Ol Pejeta conservancy. Here you will be able to see the chimpanzees, rare black rhinos plus a host of other animals. Lunch will be at the Serena Sweetwaters camp. After lunch, depart for a tour of the rhino and the chimpanzee sanctuaries, No other place in Kenya has the Chimpanzees and the rhino sanctuary is home to a strong 40 black rhinos. If time permits, you may do a brief game drive at 5.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Serena Sweetwaters camp. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 2

Samburu

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Samburu : Drive time 2 Hours 45 Minutes Have an early morning game drive at 615 a.m to 8.00 a.m followed by breakfast. After breakfast depart Ol Pejeta conservancy and drive to Samburu. The drive time is approximately 2 Hours 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Samburu, have a game drive en route to the elephant bedroom camp for lunch. After lunch, relax until 4.00 p.m time for your evening game drive. At 6.00 p.m, return to the Elephant bedroom camp for dinner and overnight. Samburu is famous for the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, long-necked gerenuk, Colobus monkey, beisa oryx and Grevy’s zebra.The elephant bedroom camp offers spectacular opportunities to see the elephants close-up. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 3

Samburu

Day 3: Samburu An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, have a full day game viewing with an optional Bush lunch. Explore Samburu and its rare animal species as well as the Samburu people’s culture. Later in the evening return to the Elephant bedroom camp for dinner and overnight.  {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 4

Samburu

Day 4: Samburu to Aberdares: Drive time: 4 Hours An early morning pre breakfast game drive then depart after breakfast to Aberdares. Arrive at the base hotel in readiness to be transfered to the tree hotel. Afternoon relaxing at the Ark tree lodge as you watch animals come quench their thirst. An optional game drive at the Aberdares is available and can be arranged directly with the Ark. Dinner and overnight at the Ark. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 5

Lake Nakuru

Day 5: Aberdares to Lake Nakuru: Drive time 3 Hours This morning drive through Aberdare Mountain range and the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at the Equator and the Thompson falls. , once described by American ornithologist Roger Tory- Peterson as the most fabulous bird spectacle in the world.” The park and its lake play host to lesser and greater Flamingos and species of animals, including lion, leopard, black and white rhino and hyena among other bird and animal species. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive along the lake shore. Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 6

Lake Nakuru | Masai Mara

Day 6: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara:  Drive time 5.5 Hours Today drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most popular game park and home to the “Big Five” – buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander the Mara grasslands, their numbers increasing during the annual migration. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 7

Day 7 and 8: Maasai Mara Have these two full days at the Maasai mara. You will have the opportunity to arrange the order of game drives depending on the location of the wildebeest herds  (July-October) as well as allowing time for game drives to see other wildlife. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Ashnil Mara Camp. Around Mid August, the herds are normally scattered around the Mara Triangle Area and crossings at the mara River are quite common, so Mara Serena Safari Lodge is perfect location. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 9

Nairobi

Day 9: Maasai Mara to Nairobi : Drive time 5.5 Hours Have an early morning breakfast followed by a two hour game drive. Depart Maasai mara at around 9.30 a.m. and drive to Narok town for lunch. Lunch will be at the Seasons Hotel. After lunch, proceed to Nairobi with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley view point. Arrive in Nairobi at around 4.00 p.m. You will be transferred to your city hotel or Jomo Kenyatta airport for your outbound flight. {Meal Plan; Breakfast and Lunch} This tour is fully customisable to suit your travel style and budget.
