Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Arrival and Windhoek Nature Reserve Welcome to Namibia! Your Nature Travel Namibia guide will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall of the airport. After loading your luggage into the vehicle, we will have a short 45 minute drive to our first lodge, located close to the airport. If we are lucky we will encounter our first wildlife along the road to the lodge. Depending on the time of your arrival we will enjoy a sundowner game drive on the neighbouring Reserve.
Day 2
Namib-Naukluft
Day 2: Sossusvlei This morning we will meet up for breakfast at 8am and discuss our plans for the day. After enjoying a hearty Namibian breakfast we will make our way to our next destination. We will make regular stops along the way to take photographs of the beautiful landscape. Situated in the largest conservation area in Africa (the Namib-Naukluft National Park), Sossusvlei is possibly Namibia’s most spectacular and best-known attraction.
Day 3
Day 3: Sossusvlei Excursion We will be up before the sun rises to get ready for our Sossusvlei visit. We will enjoy a quick cup of coffee/tea and then wait for the entrance gates of the park to open. (The gates open at sunrise) We will drive for about 30 minutes while appreciating the beauty of the sun that is rising over the amazing red dunes. After a full morning’s activity we will return to the lodge for lunch and some free time. Late afternoon we will join the lodge on a sundowner drive.
Day 4
Namib-Naukluft
Day 4: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund This morning we can enjoy a relaxed breakfast and for those that are interested there is the option to do an early morning Balloon Ride (please enquire about this option). We will slowly make our way to our next destination, Swakopmund. We will again stop along the way for a coffee break as well as taking photographs of the ever-changing landscape.
Day 5
Day 5: Living Desert Adventure and Walvis Bay After breakfast you will be picked up for your Living Desert Adventure. We will encounter and learn more about the fascinating wildlife of the Namib Desert with the help of a local expert. You will return to the hotel at 13h00 and after enjoying lunch we will make our way to Walvis Bay where we will marvel at the thousands of waterbirds that call the Walvis Bay Lagoon their home.
Day 6
Day 6: Return to Windhoek and Departure This morning, after a relaxed breakfast and maybe some last minute shopping, we make our way back to Windhoek where you will be dropped at Hosea Kutako International Airport for your onwards flight home.
