Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch You will be met at the airport where you will receive your travel vouchers and a quick briefing about your vehicle. You will start your safari and drive towards the beautiful Kalahari savannah of southern Namibia. (Includes: Night Drive)
Day 2
Day 2: Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch Today you can relax at the lodge and admire the Kalahari - an ancient living desert. A harsh land, a land of relentless sun and searing wind – a land of great thirst and mystery. After the first rains, a land transformed into exquisite beauty with the dunes erupting in a blaze of colour! Additional activities can be arrange with the lodge like cheetah viewing and a bushmen walk. After dinner you will join the lodge for a night drive to look out with the aid of a strong spotlight for various nocturnal animals such as aardwolf, wild cats and owls.
Day 3
Day 3: Le Mirage Lodge & Spa After breakfast you will depart towards Sossusvlei where you will be staying at Le Mirage Lodge for the next two nights.
Day 4
Day 4: Le Mirage Lodge & Spa After an early breakfast and coffee, you can depart for a morning excursion to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. En-route you can stop at the scenic Dune 45 along the way and spend a couple of hours at both Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. Some of the dunes in the area are a few hundred meters high but the view from the top for those that dare is one you will never forget. You will return to the lodge in the afternoon and have a relaxed evening ahead.
Day 5
Day 5: Sandfields Guesthouse After breakfast you will depart for Swakopmund via the Namib Naukluft National Park. You will spend the follwoig two nights at a guesthouse and have dinner at one of the top restaurants in Swakopmund. Please note that dinner tonight is not included and for your own account.
Day 6
Day 6: Sandfields Guesthouse After breakfast you will be pick-ed up from your guesthouse and depart for a living desert adventure where we will encounter and learn more about the fascinating wildlife of the Namib Desert. We will look for gecko's, scorpions, side-winder snakes, lizards and beetles as well as the incredible plant life that survives in this harsh environment. (Includes: Living Desert Tour)
Day 7
Day 7: Ai Aiba Rock Painting Today your journey will continue in a northerly direction and after about two hours of driving you will arrive at your next lodge which is set against imposing granite boulders in the foothills of the Erongo Mountain range. The lodge is famous for its countless rock painting sites and is a mystical exploration of nature.
Day 8
Day 8: Okapuka Lodge After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will slowly be making your way towards Windhoek. This will be less than a 3-hour drive depending on the number of stops. You will spend your last night at Okapuka Lodge which is located just outside of Windhoek and the perfect overnight stop before departing from the Windhoek International Airport.
