The lodge overlooks a waterhole and Ngamp Plain both popular with game. Rooms are either raised tents looking onto the plain or bungalows looking onto the waterhole.
Gorges Lodge in Victoria Falls offers stunning views of the Batoka Gorge and lovely tented rooms. It is a 30 minute drive out of the town centre which means you have tranquility but easy access to all the town has. Included in your stay are daily shuttles to and from town. Here you will be in a tented Little Gorges room with amazing views, this newer side of the lodge has its own dining and lounge area and you can also enjoy the main dining area and swimming pool.
In Zambia you begin in South Luangwa which is a stunning park known for its excellent wildlife and guiding. You will be staying at Kafunta River Lodge which is owned and operated by Anke & Ron Cowan who have made the Luangwa Valley their home for the past 20 years. The 10-room lodge is located on the floodplains of the Luangwa River, away from the busier area near the park's Mfuwe gate. Central to the lodge is a spacious bar and dining area. Built around a semi-evergreen wild mango tree and thatched in the traditional style, it offers superb panoramic views over the Luangwa River and the South Luangwa National Park. Great game viewing and bird watching from the lodge is guaranteed. Activities on offer include game drives (morning, afternoon and night), bush walks, village & cultural tours as well as a wellness spa.
Your final destination is the Lower Zambezi national park and Royal Zambezi Lodge, which is a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort in a completely unspoiled bush environment. Offering king-size beds in large, fully netted, canvas tents under thatched canopies, comfortable sofas in front of roaring open fires and airy verandahs, the lodge is a luxurious base from which to explore this beautiful area. The design of Royal Zambezi Lodge allows nature and the environment to play a leading role in ensuring the relaxed pace and magical experience enjoyed by guests.
