Home to Tanzania’s biggest baboon population, Lake Manyara supports large numbers of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elephants and a host of bird’s species most evident after the long rains when the Lake attracts thousands of pelicans who come to feed together with flamingoes feeding on minute algae, but Lake Manyara is known for the famous tree-climbing lions which can be seen hanging on acacia trees.
