Safari summary
The journey will take you through different landscape, vegetation and escarpment. You then pass the Sisal plantations and begin to get glimpses of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains that soar above the plains and the town of Morogoro. The highway then possess through Mikumi National Park and you will get the opportunity to view the game along the road. Beyond Mikumi the road will take you through the baobab valley where you can get a chance to see thousands of baobab trees. Later on you will start to climbs the Kitonga Gorge eight kilometers high. The road will take you to Iringa town and continue driving to Ruaha National Park; on the way along the road side you will see local Maasai tribe selling beaded, necklaces and belts.

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi NP
Mikumi
Your driver guide will pick you from your hotel at 08:00am and transfer to Dar es Salaam SGR train station for electric train to Morogoro which departs at 0930am and arrives at 11:20am. On arrival you will meet your driver and start diving to Mikumi NP for one hour and a half. Arrive for hot lunch and game drive until sunset. Meals Plan: L & D

2. Mikumi NP to Ruaha NP
Ruaha
After breakfast you will drive to Mikumi NP to Ruaha NP for afternoon game drive until sunset. Game drive along Great Ruaha river and its seasonal tributaries, where, during the dry season, impala, waterbuck and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life-sustaining water. Meals Plan: B, L & D

3. Full Day in Ruaha NP

Wake up for early morning game drive from 0615am until 08:30hrs then drive back at the camp, lodge or cottage for breakfast. After breakfast you will continue with game drive until sunset. If you stay outside the park then you will go out for full day game drive after earl breakfast. Meals Plan: B, L & D

4. Ruaha NP to Mikumi NP
Mikumi | Ruaha
Wake up early in the morning and start a wilderness walking safari with guidance of an armed ranger which will take two to two and a half hours. Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for African wild. After walking safari you will go back to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast start driving to Mikumi National Park with game drive en-route on the direction to the exit gate. Lunch will be on the way. Arrive late afternoon in Mikumi. Meals Plan: B, L & D

5. Mikumi NP to Dar es Salaam
Wake up for early breakfast then drive to the park for game drive until 1100am, Then you will drive to Morogoro for lunch before taking electric train to Dar es Salaam. On arrival in Dar es Salaam our drive will transfer you to your hotel.
