This three days safari will take you to Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park is sharing the border and ecosystem with Selous Game Reserve to the southern side. The park is seventh largest national park in Tanzania covering the area of 3,230 square kilometers. On the way to Mikumi NP you will pass through the different landscape, wide field of sisal plantation and long range of Uluguru mountain (eastern arc mountain).

The park is most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year, Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and many more. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi NP

Mikumi

Pick up from the Airport at 0700am and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours’ drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for hot lunch. After Lunch proceed to Mikumi NP. Arrive for afternoon game drive until sunset.

Full day game drive in Mikumi NP

After breakfast you will go for full day game drive in Mikumi National Park with parked lunch boxes. Animals commonly found Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants and many more. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Maasai Tribe/ Dar es Salaam

Wake up for breakfast in the camp and later drive to Maasai tribe. Today you will get the chance to visit Maasai Boma to see how they live and get the history of their tribe. After visiting Maasai Boma you will start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a short stop for hot lunch in Morogoro town. On arrival to Dar es Salaam you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
