Itinerary

Day 1

Samburu

Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu Game Reserve Today, you will awake to the exotic birdcalls in a magical new world with the whiff of Kenyan serenity. We will meet at 7:00am for a safari briefing before we take a drive to the mystical, dry, rugged and stunning semi-desert; Samburu Game Reserve. We will arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Due to its remote distance and the fact that it was inaccessible for many years, the park has retained a naturally serene and quiet feeling. The reserve's topography is mainly open savannah (grassland) with clusters of acacia trees, forest, thorn trees and grassland vegetation and the surrounding is an area of spectacular scenery with its dry plains bisected by the meandering life lung Ewaso Nyiro River that cuts through this reserve, drawing a big population of wildlife to the park  Main Destination: Samburu Game Reserve Overnight: Samburu Game Reserve Meal plan: Lunch and dinner (Breakfast not included); Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Day 2

Samburu

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve The sunset of this hot and rugged game reserve can be fiery. Today we rise up early and enjoy our breakfast and by 6:30am we set out in the park in search of rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa onyx. Before it is hot, we return to the camp for lunch. You can opt to relax by the pool and watch when nature plays the afternoon trumpets or close your eyes and drift off into the African dreamland before we head out for our evening game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs.  Look out for the elusive Kenya leopard that is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings. Other wildlife present in the park includes cheetahs and lions, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos. Besides, the park is a bird haven and boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. Samburu

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve- Ol Pejeta Conservancy Rise up early for breakfast, check out and depart Samburu National Reserve for the famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We will arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our evening game drive between 1500hrs to 1830hrs. Host to all the members of the ‘Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species. Your luxury camp is a sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy; Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and Kenyan safari luxury. Main Destination: Ol Pejeta Conservancy Overnight: Sweetwaters Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner; Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Lake Nakuru National Park offers you a rare insight into Kenya’s most diverse flora, fauna and wildlife and is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingoes. The birds throng on Lake Nakuru itself, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes that comprises almost a third of the park's area. More than 450 species of birds have been recorded here as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife. Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos are just some of the animals you might see, and the landscapes range from sweeping grasslands bordering the lake to rocky cliffs and woodland. The park also protects the largest euphorbia candelabrum forest in Africa.
