Itinerary
Day 1
Murchison Falls
Day 1 Murchison Falls National Park Today you will be picked up from your hotel by your driver-guide at 6:00am and start your four-hour journey to Murchison Falls by 6:15am. You will drive directly to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your exclusive rhino tracking experience and then proceed to the park for your check-in, lunch, and some relaxation before your evening nature walk. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2
Murchison Falls
Day 2 Murchison Falls National Park Wake up as early as 6:30am for breakfast before proceeding to the chimpanzee trek starting point. The park ranger will brief you about the activity and give you some trekking tips before you set off into the forest. Budongo forest is the home of 13 primate species, including the black & white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, chimpanzees and others. After returning to lodge for a delicious lunch, you will check out and go for an evening game drive. You will then check-in to your next lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3
Murchison Falls
Day 3 Murchison Falls National Park Wake up early for a quick coffee at 6:00am, and then head off on a game drive by 6:30am. This is the best time for game drives because you have a higher chance of seeing one of the “big five”, giraffes, elephants and others. After returning from the game drive, you will have a luxurious, full breakfast and then relax by the swimming pool until lunch. At this point you will proceed on a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, where you will see humongous hippos, different bird species and some of the other 76 species of mammals that are found in this park. The boat cruise usually takes up to three hours and will conclude with a hike to the top of the falls. After the boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 4
Day 4 Entebbe Today you will eat breakfast and check out of the lodge before going on a game drive as you make your way out of the park. You will leave the park using the Wankwar Gate, passing Karuma Falls and journeying to the Kabalega Diner for lunch. You will then head back to Entebbe and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for a late evening flight out.
