Central Kalahari

DAY 1 GABORONE TO KHUTSE GAME RESERVE Depart Gaborone early morning to Khutse Game Reserve. The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Khutse is a game reserve bordering Central Kalahari Game Reserve which stretches to the north. Wild life can be spotted immediately after entering the game reserve. Camp is made, and preparations for lunch which will be had under the shade of Acacia tree in camp. Relax and prepare for afternoon game drive, sundowners at either a pan or waterhole near by. Back to camp, sit around bonfire whilst supper is prepared, listening quietly to sounds of night calls. DAY 2 KHUTSE GAME RESERVE Early morning hot beverage and rusks, before heading off for a game drive (approx one and half hours) Breakfast on return, relax, snack lunch and prepare for yet another game drive in anticipation to see predators of the Kalahari. Sundowners will be had, overlooking one of the pans. After, it will be back to camp and enjoy the relaxation around the bonfire and enjoy dinner. DAY 3 KHUTSE GAME RESERVE TO CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE. Morning departure to Central Kalahari Game Reserve after an early breakfast. Game drive on transit, snack lunch will be had on way. On arrival, set camp and unwind. Camping will be at Bibe. DAY 4 CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE Drive to Xaxa pan where a camp will be set. Game drive on way.

DAY 6 CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE TO GHANZI TRAIL BLAZERS Drive to Ghanzi trail blazers via Xade, new xade villages. New Xade is a remote village in the desert where the bushmen relocated from Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Upon arrival at Ghanzi Trail Blazers, you will catch sight of the real bushmen experience with their culture traditions that are disappearing. You will see their huts. DAY 7 GHANZI TRAIL BLAZERS Start the day by doing a bush walk with the bushmen and learn about their culture, also listen to their stories of survival in the desert. Later depart for Gaborone.
