Itinerary

Day 1

Kruger

Day 1 As your plane touches down in South Africa, your Wild Planet Safari guide will be there to welcome you at O. R. Tambo International Airport. After greeting we will load your luggage and waste no time in departing to South Africa's most renown National Park, Kruger. We will stop on route for lunch and will arrive and enter Kruger Park in the far south. This part of Kruger Park also has the highest density of rhino. Taking a slow drive to which will be our camp for the next 2 nights we already keep our eyes peeled for some animal action. After our arrival at Berg en Dal rest camp we off load and check in to our accommodation after which we embark on a afternoon drive to explore the area. After our return to camp we will enjoy dinner cooked over the fire whilst the bush envelops us with it's sounds and smells as the sun sets.

Day 2

Day 2 We are up early on

day 2 and go out for a sunrise drive, on route we will stop at a picnic site to have breakfast and only return back to camp in the late morning. We will have lunch in the camp and allow for sufficient time to enjoy the camp facilities before we go out for a late afternoon drive. On the drive we could expect the African wilderness to reveal itself to us in true majestic style as this part of Kruger is teeming with life! Upon our return to camp we will light the camp fire and enjoy the surroundings we are in. Dinner tonight will again be cooked over the fire as we listen to the sounds of nature. There is also a swimming pool and short walking trails inside the camp to enjoy.

Day 3

Kruger

Day 3 After a quick cup of coffee and breakfast, we start the day with a game drive along the N’wanetsi river road on or way to Skukuza. The drive takes us along the river with dense vegetation on one side (great for leopard) and open plains on the other (good for cheetah) and is well known for lion sightings. The area is also very good for spotting white rhino and has large herds of buffalo, blue wildebeest, zebra, kudu and giraffe. We then travel through an area known to be home to one of Kruger’s super prides, an enormous pride of 20 lions before we arrive at Skukuza. We will check in and have lunch at the camp and have time to relax and make use of the camp facilities. This evening you will go on a Kruger night drive which might give you a chance to see some of the big cats on the hunt, you could also see some of the smaller nocturnal animals like civet cats, owls, porcupines and genet. Dinner will be served before you leave.

Day 4

Day 4 This morning we will have a leasurely start and after a hearty breakfast we will head towards Satara, our next camp. After a slow drive to camp we will arrive in time for lunch and we will check in for the next two nights. After giving you enough time to relax in the mid-day and make use of the camp facilities we will depart on a afternoon drive to explore our new surroundings. When we arrive back at camp we will sit and enjoy the African sunset as we prepare dinner for you.

Day 5

Day 5 We start early today with a sunrise drive and have breakfast at a picnic site along our drive. After yet another great gamedrive we will arrive back at camp for lunch and a mid-day siesta. After our rest we will depart on our last gamedrive of the tour and look for any animals that might be missing from our list. This area is great for elephants and lion. Tonight we will have dinner at the camp restaurant whilst we reminisce at all the good times you have had with Wild Planet Safari and enjoy our last night in the African bush.

Day 6

Kruger

Day 6 Today you will go for a guided bush walk with a trained Kruger ranger where he/she will teach you more about the bush and tracking the different animals. Upon your return we will have breakfast and then pack up and start the 450km journey back to Johannesburg. We will take the scenic route and have lunch on the way before arrive in Johannesburg in the afternoon. Please note that you should not book domestic flights before 18:00pm and international flights before 19:00pm on that day.
