Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi | Samburu

Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu Met upon arrival or picked from you city hotel and drive north of Samburu National Reserve arriving at Larsens Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search for the unique animals of the region such as the gravy zebras, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostrich and many others. Dinner and overnight Larsens or similar.

Day 2

Samburu

Day 2: Samburu Full day in the reserve dedicated to both morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Larsens Camp.

Day 3

Mount Kenya | Samburu

Day 3: Samburu - Olpajeta Ranch After breakfast, drive to the Mount Kenya region arriving for lunch. Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Afternoon game drive across the Park. Later return for Dinner and overnight at Sweet waters Luxury Tented Camp. Overnight : Serena Sweetwater Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 4

Mount Kenya

Day 4: Slopes of Mount Kenya - L.Naivasha After breakfast, drive south and onto the floor of the Great rift valley arriving at Naivasha Sopa Lodge for lunch (optional boat ride to lake Naivasha – freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory). Dinner and overnight at Enaishipai Lodge . Optional Activities in Naivasha: - Hells gate National Reserve: USD 40 Per Person. The only reserve in Kenya where you can enjoy game viewing while on a Bicycle. - Boat ride: USD 30 Per person. - Visit to Crescent Island: USD 40 Per Person.

Day 5

Masai Mara

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara After breakfast, drive further south west through the floor of the great rift valley with a stopover at the home town for the Masai herdsmen. Arrive at Mara Serena Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the vast Mara plains in search for the predators such the lions with dark manes, cheetahs, leopard and many herbivores especially during the yearly migration of wildebeest between July – September. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 6

Masai Mara

Day 6: Masai Mara Full day in the Mara dedicated to early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives or full day game viewing depending on ones choice. (Optional visit to Masai village or balloon safaris can be organized locally at an extra cost of USD 30 per person). All meals and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge or similar

Day 7

Amboseli | Kilimanjaro | Nairobi

Day 7: Mara - Amboseli After breakfast, drive to Amboseli via Nairobi and further south arriving at Amboseli Sopa Loge for late lunch. Amboseli is a home to the famous Masai tribesmen where a visit to Masai village would be optional. Afternoon game drive, with good weather giving the possibility to see the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Oltukai Lodge or similar

Day 8

Amboseli | Kilimanjaro

Day 8: Amboseli : After Breakfast , enjoy the full game drive in serach of the Big five. a landscape dominated by the spectacular snowcaps of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your chosen lodge / tented camp. After lunch and a few hours of rest, embark on a game drive at the foot of Africa's highest mountain. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge / camp. Dinner & overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

Day 9

Kilimanjaro | Tsavo

Day 9: Tsavo West Early game drive in the park giving you the possibility to view the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro when the weather permits, herds of elephants, hyenas, lions and cheetahs in a morning hunting spree. Return to the lodge for breakfast and thereafter join the 09.00 o’clock convoy to Tsavo west National Park making a stop at the Shetani Lava for a brief history of this geographical feature which dates back to more than 500yrs ago. Afternoon game drive including a visit to the Rhino sanctuary before returning to the Lodge for dinner and overnight at Serena Kilanguni Lodge .

Day 10

Nairobi | Tsavo

Day 10 : Tsavo West - Tsavo East Breakfast and thereafter proceed on a game drive with a visit to Mzima springs where you can view fish, crocodiles, hippos and other aquatic animals from an underground observation tank. Thereafter drive along the Mombasa/Nairobi highway to enter Tsavo East National Park through Manyani gate and with a game drive en-route to Voi Safari Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search for the red Elephants, Buffalos, Antelopes and many other animals including the Cats family. Dinner and overnight in Ahnil Aruba Lodge.
