Safari summary

This is one of our most popular safaris. It provides a great combination of some of Southern Africa’s biggest attractions. We will start in Windhoek and after a three day visit to Etosha National Park which is Namibia’s and one of Africa’s biggest and best known parks, we will continue up to the Caprivi Strip of Namibia. Here we will explore the lesser known Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks as well as the big rivers in the Caprivi, the Okavango, Kwando and Zambezi Rivers. Finally, we will move on to Chobe National Park in Botswana and finish off in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We will do lots of game drives and boat cruises and stay in top quality lodges along the way. We can extend this safari to include Sossusvlei and Damaraland in Namibia as well as the rest of Botswana and/or Zambia. Group Departures will be 08 June 2020 & 8 September 2020

It is 22 912 km 2 in size of which the Etosha Pan, a shallow depression that only holds water after good rainy seasons, is 5000 km 2 in size. Etosha is known for its spectacular game viewing and the waterholes attract huge numbers of game in the dry season when all the open water has dried up. During the rainy season in the park the dry grassland is transformed into a green oasis and this is the time you find young of various animal species in huge numbers. 114 Species of mammal are found in the park and it is the best place in the world to see Black Rhino. Other game include elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, honey-badger, black-faced impala, kudu, eland, damara dik-dik, warthog and big herds of springbok, zebra, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest and oryx.
