Itinerary

Moshi – Momella Gate – Miriakamba

Trekking time: 4–6 hours Your adventure begins with a morning transfer from Arusha to Arusha National Park. After registration at Momella Gate, meet your ranger and begin trekking through beautiful montane forest. Along the trail, you may see wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and various bird species. Continue uphill through the forest to Miriakamba Hut, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut

Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut After breakfast, begin your trek towards Saddle Hut. The trail passes through forest and moorland, with beautiful views of Mount Meru and the surrounding landscape. After arriving at Saddle Hut, enjoy lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you may take a short hike to Little Meru for spectacular views and acclimatization before returning to Saddle Hut for dinner and overnight. Trekking time: 3–5 hours

Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak – Miria

Wake up around midnight and begin the challenging summit trek towards Peak, the highest point of Mount Meru at 4,566 meters. Trek along the crater rim through rocky terrain as you ascend towards the summit. Reach the summit around sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. After taking photos and enjoying the summit, descend back to Saddle Hut for breakfast and a short rest before continuing down to Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight. Trekking time: 10–14 hours

Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gat –Moshi

Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha After breakfast, begin your final descent through the beautiful forest towards Momella Gate. Complete the park exit procedures and meet your vehicle for the transfer back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your memorable Mount Meru trekking adventure.
