After breakfast, travel toward the Ndutu region, entering the heart of Tanzania's calving-season landscape. The Ndutu plains become a spectacular nursery during the calving season, with large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra. The abundance of young animals also attracts predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Enjoy an afternoon game drive around Ndutu.

Spend a full day exploring Ndutu with your safari guide. This is the highlight of the journey. Depending on wildlife movements, you may witness newborn wildebeest, predator hunts, large herds gathering around the plains and dramatic interactions between predators and prey. A picnic lunch in the wilderness allows you to maximize your time in the field.

Enjoy a final morning game drive before continuing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon wildlife experience. Ngorongoro to Arusha
