Your Tanzanian adventure begins at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Wildflip Safaris representative will welcome you and transfer you to Serval Wildlife in Siha District. After breakfast, your expert safari guide collects you for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, passing Maasai villages, open savannah and the Great Rift Valley. The park is renowned for its ancient baobab trees, acacia woodlands and wildlife-rich swamps. During the dry season, animals gather around the Tarangire River, including some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Keep watch for lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and rare species such as Greater Kudu and Oryx.

After breakfast, depart Tarangire for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, travelling through the scenic highlands before descending 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This ancient volcanic caldera is home to around 30,000 animals, including black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, hippo, lions and spotted hyenas. Enjoy a half-day crater-floor game drive with a picnic lunch surrounded by spectacular wildlife. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim.

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar, arriving in the early afternoon. Meet your Wildflip Safaris representative and enjoy a private transfer to historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
