Safari summary
5 Days Ndutu and Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari in February 2027/2028 is a private wildlife journey focused on Tanzania's famous wildebeest calving season. The itinerary combines Central Serengeti, two nights around Ndutu, and Ngorongoro Crater, giving travelers rewarding game drives, diverse landscapes, excellent wildlife opportunities, and a carefully planned five-day safari.
February is one of the most sought-after periods for visiting Ndutu because the short-grass plains become an important calving ground. The wildebeest calving season at Ndutu typically runs from late December through March, peaking in January and February. During this period, thousands of calves are born, bringing large concentrations of herbivores and predators into the same landscape.
A 5-day safari in February puts you in the prime location and peak window to witness the Great Migration calving season on the Ndutu short-grass plains. Rather than rushing through several distant parks, this route gives you meaningful time in the areas most relevant to the February migration.
