Day 1: Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a morning transfer from Moshi or Arusha to Londorossi Gate on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing park registration and entry formalities, you will continue by vehicle to the Lemosho trailhead. The trek begins through the lush montane rainforest, where you will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, tall trees, and rich vegetation. The trail is relatively gentle, allowing you to gradually settle into the rhythm of mountain trekking.

Mti Mkubwa Camp

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 1 Ca

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will leave the rainforest and continue ascending toward the beautiful Shira Plateau. As you gain altitude, the dense forest gradually changes into open moorland, with giant heather and high-altitude vegetation surrounding the trail. The landscape becomes increasingly scenic, with impressive views toward Kibo Peak and the surrounding valleys.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular Shira Plateau while continuing your acclimatization. After breakfast, you will trek across open moorland and volcanic landscapes toward Shira 2 Camp. Day 4: Shira 2 Camp – Moir Hut Camp

After breakfast, you will leave Shira 2 Camp and continue toward the northern side of Kilimanjaro. The trail passes through a beautiful and increasingly rugged high-altitude landscape as you approach the Moir Valley. This area is quieter and offers impressive views of the mountain.

Day 5: Moir Hut – Lava Tower – Barr

Today is an important acclimatization day as you climb to a higher elevation before descending to sleep at a lower altitude. After breakfast, you will trek toward Lava Tower, reaching approximately 4,630 meters above sea level. The landscape becomes increasingly rocky and barren as you enter the alpine desert zone. After reaching Lava Tower, you will have lunch and take some time to rest before beginning the descent toward Barranco Camp.

Day 6: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp

After breakfast, your day begins with the exciting climb up the famous Barranco Wall. With assistance from your experienced guides, you will carefully navigate the rocky sections of the wall before reaching the top, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 7: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp

After breakfast, you will leave Karanga Camp and continue toward Barafu Camp, the final high camp before your summit attempt. The trail climbs steadily through the alpine desert, where vegetation becomes increasingly sparse and the terrain more rugged. After approximately 4–5 hours of trekking.

Day 8: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – M

Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of your Kilimanjaro adventure. You will wake around midnight, have a light breakfast, and begin your summit climb in darkness. The ascent toward Stella Point is slow and steady as you climb over steep volcanic scree. After several hours, you will reach Stella Point at approximately 5,739 meters.

Mweka Camp

Day 9: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Mo

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will begin your final descent through the lush rainforest toward Mweka Gate. As you lose altitude, the vegetation becomes greener and the air warmer, marking your return to the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. After approximately 3–4 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Mweka Gate, where you will complete the park exit procedures and receive your Kilimanjaro summit certificate. Your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Moshi or Arusha.
