Day 1: Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa

Kilimanjaro

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a morning transfer from Moshi or Arusha to Londorossi Gate on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing registration and park entry formalities, you will continue by vehicle to the Lemosho trailhead. The trek begins through the beautiful montane rainforest, where you will walk beneath tall trees and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.

Mti Mkubwa Camp

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 1 Ca

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will leave the rainforest and continue climbing toward the spectacular Shira Plateau. The vegetation gradually changes from dense forest to moorland, with giant heather and high-altitude plants becoming more prominent. As you gain elevation, the landscape opens up and offers impressive views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding valleys

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Today you will continue across the scenic Shira Plateau, one of the most beautiful sections of the Lemosho Route. After breakfast, you will trek through open moorland and volcanic landscapes while enjoying magnificent views of Kibo Peak. The relatively gradual terrain allows you to walk at a comfortable pace while continuing to acclimatize to the increasing altitude. Along the way, your guide may take you on a short acclimatization.

Shira 2 Camp

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp – Lava Tower –

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will begin an important acclimatization day as you climb toward Lava Tower at approximately 4,630 meters. The trail gradually becomes more rugged as you enter Kilimanjaro's alpine desert zone, with volcanic rocks and dramatic mountain scenery surrounding you. After reaching Lava Tower, you will stop for lunch and rest before beginning the descent toward Barranco Camp.

Barranco Camp

Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp

Today begins with the exciting ascent of the famous Barranco Wall. With the support of your experienced guides, you will carefully climb the rocky sections and enjoy spectacular views from the top. The trail then continues through Karanga Valley before ascending toward Barafu Camp, the final high camp before your summit attempt. The vegetation becomes increasingly sparse as you enter the alpine desert zone.

Day 6: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – M

Kilimanjaro

Today is the highlight of your Kilimanjaro adventure and the most challenging day of the trek. You will wake around midnight, have a light breakfast, and begin your summit climb in darkness. The ascent toward Stella Point is slow and steady as you make your way over steep volcanic scree. After several hours of climbing, you will reach Stella Point at approximately 5,739 meters. From there, you continue along the crater rim toward Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters.

Mweka Camp

Day 7: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Mo

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will begin your final descent through the lush rainforest toward Mweka Gate. As you descend, the landscape becomes greener and warmer, marking your return to the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. After approximately 3–4 hours of trekking, you will reach Mweka Gate.
