Itinerary
Day 1: Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut

Your adventure begins with a transfer from Moshi to Marangu Gate. After completing registration and park formalities, you start your trek through the lush rainforest. The trail is surrounded by tropical vegetation, birds, and beautiful scenery. After several hours, you arrive at Mandara Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, continue trekking through the rainforest before entering the moorland zone. You will see giant heathers and enjoy views of the surrounding mountain landscape. The trail gradually climbs toward Horombo Hut, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Horombo Hut – Mawenzi Ridge
Today is an important acclimatization day. After breakfast, you hike toward Mawenzi Ridge, gaining additional altitude before returning to Horombo Hut. This helps your body adjust to the increasing elevation while allowing you to enjoy spectacular views of Mawenzi Peak and the surrounding landscape.

Day 4: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut

After breakfast, you leave Horombo and cross the Saddle, the high-altitude desert between Mount Mawenzi and Kibo. The vegetation becomes increasingly sparse as you approach Kibo. You arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon, have dinner, and rest early in preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 5: Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horo

This is the most challenging and rewarding day. You wake around midnight and begin the summit climb. The trail takes you through rocky terrain toward Gilman's Point on the crater rim. From there, continue toward Stella Point and finally Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m, the highest point in Africa.

Day 6: Horombo Hut – Mandara Hut
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, begin your descent through the moorland and rainforest zones. Enjoy the changing scenery as you gradually lose altitude. You arrive at Mandara Hut in the afternoon for dinner and overnight. Trekking: 12 km Hiking time: 4–6 hours Altitude: 3,720 m to 2,720 m Accommodation: Mandara Hut
MANDARA HUT
Day 7: Mandara Hut – Marangu Gate –
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, start your final descent through the beautiful rainforest to Marangu Gate. Once at the gate, complete the necessary park procedures and receive your summit certificate if you successfully reached Uhuru Peak. Your driver will then transfer you back to Moshi, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
