Itinerary

Day 1 – Arusha to Tarangire

After breakfast, meet your private safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant populations, Tarangire offers an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Enjoy a game drive with opportunities to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions and numerous bird species. After the game drive, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Journey to Serengeti

After breakfast, travel towards the legendary Serengeti National Park through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enter the Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive across its endless plains. Search for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras and wildebeests before continuing to your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Full Day Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park with your private driver-guide. Follow wildlife movements and explore different habitats while searching for predators and large herds of plains game. Depending on the season, you may also encounter herds associated with the Great Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Day 4 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti when wildlife is particularly active. After breakfast, continue exploring as you gradually leave the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Admire the changing landscapes before continuing to your accommodation near the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Explore this wildlife-rich ecosystem in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before ascending in the afternoon and continuing to your accommodation.

Day 6 – Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival on the island, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings after your mainland safari.

Day 7 – Stone Town & Spice Tour

Discover Zanzibar’s fascinating history and culture with a guided tour of Stone Town. Explore its narrow streets, historic buildings, colourful markets and unique Swahili-Arab heritage. Later, visit a spice farm to discover why Zanzibar is known as the Spice Island and learn about tropical spices and fruits before returning to your hotel.

Day 8 – Zanzibar Beach Escape

Enjoy a relaxing day on Zanzibar’s beautiful coast. Swim in the warm Indian Ocean, walk along the white-sand beach or simply relax at your hotel. Optional activities such as snorkeling, diving or other ocean experiences can be arranged according to your interests.
