This is a great way to get a first glimpse of Tanzania and settle in before your adventure begins. In the evening, we’ll provide a detailed briefing on the upcoming itinerary and answer any questions you may have about the days ahead.

Today, we head back west toward the Mara River, where large herds of wildebeest often gather in anticipation of crossing. With a bit of luck, you may witness the dramatic start of the great migration one of nature’s most awe-inspiring events. After an early breakfast, we’ll set out on a full-day game drive, keeping close to the river to follow the movement of the herds. We’ll break for lunch in the bush before continuing our search for unforgettable wildlife encounters throughout the afternoon.

After an early breakfast, we’ll embark on a game drive heading south toward Seronera, exploring the diverse wildlife of this Central Serengeti region. In the late afternoon, we’ll leave the Serengeti and begin the approximately 2-hour drive to Ngorongoro Wild Camp. Perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the lodge offers breathtaking, panoramic views of this natural wonder, providing the perfect setting to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.

After breakfast, we’ll head to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls for a scenic hike lasting about 2 hours. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking views that make this journey truly unforgettable. After exploring the waterfalls, we’ll visit a nearby local coffee farm to learn about traditional coffee processing and enjoy a delicious lunch. Following this, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
