Embark on a Rhino Tracking

Murchison Falls

Your trip starts when your driver picks you up from Entebbe Airport or your hotel and takes you to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy the scenery and may see animals like lions, giraffes, elephants, and buffalo. On the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you will have an hour of rhino tracking and enjoy lunch at the sanctuary before continuing your journey.

Murchison Falls

Start the day with an early breakfast before heading out to explore the northern section of Murchison Falls, known for its abundant wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography opportunities with elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on a 3-hour boat cruise to the base of the falls. This cruise is often considered the highlight of the safari.

Drive to Kibale Forest

After breakfast at your lodge, head to the top of Murchison Falls if you haven’t already done the hike. From here, enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the falls. If you already hiked, you can depart directly for Kibale Forest National Park after breakfast. Kibale is famous for its primates, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. Along the chimpanzee trails, you may see them swinging through the trees or feeding on wild fruits in their natural habitat.

Start with a briefing at Kibale Forest headquarters around 8:00 am, then go chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. After locating the chimpanzees, spend an hour observing them in their natural habitat. Return for lunch, then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an overnight stay.

Start the day with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, spotting elephants, lions, buffaloes, and other wildlife across its scenic plains and valleys. Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. See hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds along the shores. After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, set within one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, relax, and prepare for your gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Bwindi Impenetrable

After an early breakfast and ranger briefing, head into the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking. The hike varies in length and difficulty, but rewards you with an unforgettable hour observing a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat. After the trek, enjoy a packed lunch before continuing to Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic lake surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 islands. Known as one of Africa’s deepest lakes, it’s a peaceful place to relax.

Drive to Entebbe for your flight

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation, taking in the stunning views of Lake Bunyonyi and its charming little islands right before you. Afterward, begin your journey back to Entebbe Airport. Along the way, there will be stopovers for lunch and a visit to the Uganda Equator line. Continue your drive, arriving at the airport in the late afternoon or evening for your departure. This marks the end of your unforgettable Uganda adventure.
