1. TRANSFER AND VISIT TO NYANDUNGU ECO-PARK & UMUSAMBI VILLAGE
Guests will be picked up from their hotel or residence in Kigali at 8:30 a.m. by a professional driver-guide for a short drive to Nyandungu Eco?Park, one of Kigali’s newest ecological attractions Nyandungu Eco-Park is a remarkable example of Rwanda’s commitment to environmental restoration and sustainable urban development. Once a degraded wetland, the area has been transformed into a beautiful eco-park featuring over 17 kilometers of walking and cycling trails, indigenous trees, medicinal plants, and diverse bird species.Visitors will enjoy a guided nature walk through the park’s scenic pathways, learning about wetland conservation, native plants, and the important ecological role the park plays in protecting Kigali’s environment. The park also offers peaceful viewpoints and shaded areas where guests can relax while observing birds and other small wildlife. After the walk, guests will have time to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and take photos before continuing to the next destination.
The tour continues to Umusambi Village, a unique wildlife sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of the Grey Crowned Crane. Umusambi Village provides a safe habitat for rescued cranes that were once kept in captivity or illegally captured.
