Nairobi – Nanyuki (3,300m)
Distance: 9 km | Approx. 3–4 Hours Walk. Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Kenya’s scenic central highlands to Nanyuki, gateway to Mount Kenya. Meet your mountain crew before starting the trek from Sirimon Gate (2,650m). Hike through dense montane forest, bamboo zones, and open moorlands with chances to spot colobus monkeys and antelope. Arrive at Old Moses Camp (3,300m) for dinner and overnight with stunning views of surrounding peaks and valleys with refreshing mountain scenery.

Old Moses Camp – Shipton’s Camp
Distance: 14 km | Approx. 6–7 Hours Walk. After breakfast, trek through the scenic Mackinder’s Valley as the landscape changes into dramatic alpine moorlands filled with giant lobelias and groundsels. Enjoy breathtaking views of jagged peaks, valleys, and mountain streams while spotting wildlife such as rock hyrax and sunbirds. Ascend gradually for proper acclimatization before arriving at Shipton’s Camp (4,200m), set beneath the towering peaks of Batian and Nelion for dinner and overnight.

Shipton’s Camp – Hausberg Col
Today is reserved for acclimatization to prepare for the summit climb. After breakfast, hike toward Hausberg Col (4,600m) while enjoying panoramic views of Mount Kenya’s rugged peaks, glaciers, rocky ridges, and dramatic valleys. The trek provides excellent photography opportunities and helps with altitude adaptation. Return to Shipton’s Camp for lunch and relaxation, then spend the afternoon resting, hydrating, and preparing for the midnight summit ascent beneath clear mountain skies.

Lenana Peak (4,985m) – Chogoria
Wake up at midnight and begin the summit trek under a star-filled sky toward Point Lenana (4,985m). Ascend slowly over rocky alpine terrain to witness a stunning African sunrise above the clouds with panoramic views of Mount Kenya’s peaks, glaciers, and valleys. Descend to Mintos Camp for breakfast, then continue through the scenic Chogoria Route with waterfalls, gorges, and lakes. Arrive at Mount Kenya Bandas for a hot shower, dinner, and overnight rest after a successful summit.

Chogoria – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, descend through the forest to Chogoria Village and connect with your transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. En route to one of Kenya’s top wildlife reserves, enjoy views of Mount Kenya. On arrival, embark on a game drive with chances to see rhinos, elephants, lions, chimpanzees, and more across open plains. After lunch, depart for Nairobi, arriving in the evening for airport drop-off or hotel transfer, marking the end of an unforgettable safari adventure.
