Day 3

Moremi | Okavango Delta

Day 3, 4 & 5 We start our journey on an early departure from Lanseria International Airport, Johannesburg for a private flight to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. We’ll touch down at Maun, a small African village (the tourism capital of Botswana), located on the edge of the world famous Okavango Delta. After we clear customs and refuel we take off for a short flight to our camp for the night, situated in the middle of the Okavango Delta. You will have an opportunity to see amazing views of the Delta and many different types of wildlife from the air. The Okavango Delta is one of the last remaining wilderness areas of Africa. The Delta is approximately 16,000 square kilometers fed by the floodwaters of Central Africa. These waters fan out forming a wetland system of gorgeous channels, lagoons and islands that support a wealth of wildlife. Our camp in this area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. The Moremi is unique due to rich deposits of sediments attracting large herds of antelopes and in turn large population of predators. It is also a birdwatchers paradise. We will have many wonderful photo opportunities here. Our camp in this area is the Pom Pom Camp. Here we’ll enjoy luxury safari tent accommodations, and get to experience wildlife in front of the camps permanent lagoon. The next 2 days will be filled with game drives, photography, and relaxation.  3 Nights Lodging at Pom Pom Camp

It’s home to over 340 species of birds, with birds of prey being well represented. The reserve is most famous for huge herds of elephants. Black and white rhino, as well as lion, leopard and cheetah call this area home as well. It is common to see 5 – 8 or more mammal species at a water hole at the same time. A photographers dream! Once we arrive we’ll check into the Etosha Village where we can relax and enjoy the Namibian bush. The next day we’ll enjoy game drives in the morning and evening and have time to relax around the pool under the hot Namibia sun.  2 Nights Lodging at Etosha Village
