Serval Wildlife is located in the Siha District of Kilimanjaro, easily accessible by all types of vehicles. It is just a 45-minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, 60 minutes from Moshi town, and approximately 90 minutes from Arusha City. “This place feels like heaven on earth.” Serval Wildlife offers an unparalleled experience, being the first 5-star resort in Africa situated within an animal sanctuary.

Wildlife interactions are a major attraction for visitors worldwide. At Serval Wildlife, our goal is to create unforgettable memories while raising awareness about the challenges and threats faced by these species in their natural habitats. Our luxurious villas, each spanning 1,100 square feet (110 m²), feature panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Each villa includes porches and seating areas where rescued wildlife can come to say hello.

The Serval Wildlife Sanctuary encompasses over 1,000 acres, developed in phases to meet the needs of our animals—50 acres at a time. Animals are ethically obtained from zoos or rescued from the wild, often injured or orphaned, with the aim of fostering natural behaviors and eventually rehabilitating them for release into the wild. This process is supported by collaboration with TAWA and TAWIRI. The animals residing within our sanctuary are owned by the Tanzanian Government and are often brought to us by TAWA. Our mission is to treat and train these animals to prepare them for reintegration into their natural habitats within TANAPA-protected parks.

The sanctuary also serves as an endangered species reintroduction platform, facilitating translocations to areas where populations have significantly declined or disappeared, with the goal of establishing viable populations. Recently, we have been working on the release of lions, which were brought to us from other zoos after being rejected by their mothers at a very young age. These animals arrived in poor condition, but through dedicated care, training, and nursing, we have helped them recover. With the support of TAWA, these lions are now being gently released back into their natural habitat, contributing to the conservation of their species.
