Itinerary
Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Murchison Falls
After an early breakfast, depart Kampala or Entebbe for northwestern Uganda. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, entering through the southern gate. Drive to the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging into the Devil’s Cauldron. Proceed to your lodge for check-in and dinner.
Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari
Murchison Falls
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park, known for its abundant wildlife. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, waterbucks, lions, and various bird species. After lunch, take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. This cruise offers excellent views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and countless water birds. Return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Murchison Falls – Budongo
Murchison Falls
After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive or relaxed morning before transferring to Budongo Forest Reserve, located near the southern edge of the park. Budongo is famous for its rich mahogany forest and high population of chimpanzees. Arrive at your lodge near the forest and spend the afternoon at leisure, preparing for the chimpanzee trek the next day.
Chimpanzee Trekking
Kibale
After an early breakfast, transfer to the forest headquarters for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will track habituated chimpanzee families while learning about forest ecology and other primates. The trek can take between 2–4 hours depending on chimp movement. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy a relaxed afternoon surrounded by nature.
Budongo Forest – Kampala/Entebbe
