Day 1: Machame Gate → Machame Camp
Altitude: 1,800 m → 3,000 m Hike through dense rainforest with rich wildlife and vegetation.
Day 2: Machame Camp → Shira Camp
Altitude: 3,000 m → 3,840 m Ascend into moorland with expansive views of Shira Plateau.
Day 3: Shira Camp → Barranco Camp
Shira Camp → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp Altitude: 3,840 m → 4,630 m → 3,960 m Key acclimatization day following “climb high, sleep low.”
Day 4: Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp
Scramble up the Barranco Wall and traverse alpine terrain.
Day 5: Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp
Prepare for the summit push with an early dinner and rest.
Day 6: Barafu Camp →Mweka Camp
Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp Midnight summit attempt to Uhuru Peak, then descend to Mweka Camp.
Day 7: Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate
Final descent through rainforest and transfer back to Moshi/Arusha.
