Drive to Samburu
After breakfast in Nairobi, you will embark on a thrilling drive towards Samburu National Reserve. The journey will take you through the heart of Kenya’s captivating landscapes, transitioning from the green highlands of Nairobi to the dry, rugged terrain of northern Kenya. Samburu is home to a range of unique wildlife, including the famous Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk.
Full Day in Samburu
Rise early to catch the best wildlife activity. The cool morning hours offer perfect opportunities to see the animals in action, from predators on the prowl to herds of elephants crossing the river. Drive to Lake Naivasha
After your time in Samburu, take a scenic drive south towards Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya's most picturesque lakes. The journey is a perfect opportunity to witness the dramatic changes in the landscape as you descend from the dry plains of Samburu into the verdant valleys of the Great Rift Valley. The day's destination is Crater Lake Camp, a beautiful and serene camp near a crater lake in the Mau Escarpment area, just outside Naivasha.

Hell's Gate National Park
On this day, after breakfast, we will leave the lodge and head to Hell's Gate National Park, which is a unique and stunning park located near Lake Naivasha. The park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs that resembles a gate, which early explorers referred to as "Hell's Gate". Unlike many other parks in Kenya, visitors can explore the park on foot or by bicycle, allowing for a more intimate experience with nature.
Drive to Amboseli
After breakfast, we will drive to Amboseli National Park, a journey that may take approximately 4 to 5 hours. As you approach the park, the grandeur of Mount Kilimanjaro begins to emerge on the horizon, adding an air of anticipation to your arrival. Check in at Kibo Safari Lodge, which offers panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and direct access to the park's wildlife-rich areas. After a light lunch, we will head out on your first afternoon game drive.
