Masai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated game park, so does Serengeti in Tanzania they both offers the possibility of seeing “the big five” and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration which is one of the most phenomenal natural spectacles in the world. It is an annual movement by millions of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra, Grant’s gazelle, Thompson’s gazelle, elands and impalas across the greater Masai Mara and the Serengeti ecosystem. It is a spectacle to behold for any visitor to Kenya or Tanzania mainly in July to October of each year.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive Nairobi To Masai Mara

Pick up from your hotel at 7.30 head west for Masai Mara Game Reserve for lunch at the camp followed by afternoon game drive in the game reserve which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. July, August, and September are months when Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Masai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.

Days 2: Explore Masai Mara Reserve

After breakfast full day spent game viewing across the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara renowned for its great herds of plain game, black manned lions, leopard, and cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya, lunch is served in the park at the Mara River, the border of Kenya and Tanzania and the scene for yearly kenya wildebeest migration, after lunch continue game drive covering the park into sections.

Day 3: Explore Masai Mara

Masai Mara

Leave the camp after breakfast for morning game drive in Masai Mara with an afternoon optional visit to the Maasai village or nature walk with Masai guides, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day4: Masai Mara To Serengeti Park

Masai Mara | Serengeti

We will initiate the day with an early morning game drive in Masai Mara while driving out of the Masai Mara National Reserve. After border formalities, drive to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It will be a long day of driving but the game drives going in and out of the parks can be surprisingly incredible. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)

Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park

Serengeti

Serengeti means "endless plains"6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, Thomson's gazelles. Large predators including lions, cheetahs,hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrates throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons and African hares 500 species of birds.

Day 6 Serengeti Continued

Serengeti

Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. On the way into the Serengeti, you have an option to stop at the famous Olduvai Gorge, where Dr Louis and Mary Leakey made their discovery of the first man that walked the earth. You'll have an afternoon game drive en-route to the campsite.

Day 7: Serengeti To Ngorongoro

Early morning game, spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. The sunrise in the african Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. Afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th natural wonder of the world. The crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest and open plains.

Day 8: Ngorongoro To Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara | Ngorongoro Crater

We will start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo Lake. After lunch, we will have time for a short game drive and then ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Lake Manyara (2h). This park has become famous for the tree-climbing lions and the flamingos on the lakeshore.

Day 9: Lake Manyara-Arusha.

Lake Manyara

Early morning game drive, then later return to the Camp/Lodge for breakfast, check out and drive to Arusha with short game drive enroute. Drop off at your hotel in Arusha or Airport. Your African adventure safari comes to and end with sweet memories. Hope to welcome you again.
