Kampala – Transfer to Queen Eliza
Queen Elizabeth
You will be picked up by our driver-guide in the early morning and begin your journey west toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a stop at the Uganda Equator for photography and a short break before continuing through the beautiful countryside of Ankole. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, settle in, and later enjoy an evening game drive where you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and lions. Overnight at a budget lodge inside the park.
Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise
Queen Elizabeth | Volcanoes
Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, searching for lions, hyenas, elephants, Uganda kob, warthogs, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a three-hour boat cruise, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, hundreds of bird species, and local fishing communities along the water. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Transfer to Bwindi
Bwindi Impenetrable
After breakfast, drive toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Ishasha sector, known for its famous tree-climbing lions. With some luck, you will spot them resting in large fig trees. Continue to Bwindi, reaching the lodge in the evening. Enjoy the cool mountain breeze and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight at a budget lodge.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Bwindi Impenetrable | Volcanoes
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and safety. You will be assigned a gorilla family and set off into the forest with armed rangers and trackers. Trekking may take 2–7 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements. Spend one unforgettable hour observing and photographing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and later enjoy a community walk,
Return to Kampala / Entebbe
Enjoy breakfast and begin the return journey via the scenic Kigezi Highlands and rolling Ankole plains. Stop for lunch en route and proceed to Entebbe or Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon. Drop-off at hotel or airport marking the end of this 5-day Uganda safari.
