Day 1
Arusha
Day 1 Airport pick-up - Arusha You will be picked up at the airport and driven to Raha Leo Hotel in Arusha town. Depending on your arrival time you have the option to have a guided walk around the town. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 2
Day 2 Maasai Boma and other villages After breakfeast at Raha Leo Hotel you will have a visit to the Maasai. The Masai are an indigenous ethnic group of semi-nomadic people living in northern Tanzania and Kenya, and they are the only group allowed free travel over the border. The Masai reside near many game parks and their dress is very distinctive. Consequently, they are probably the most well-known African ethnic group in the world.Masai families live in small traditional bomas which the women make from mud, sticks, grass and cow dung. Bomas are scattered over the area and are just large enough for sleeping and cooking. Visit other villages in the area. Overnight at a campsite. 3 meals included.
Day 3
Tarangire
Day 3 Tarangire National Park After breakfast you will head to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive through the park with a picnic lunch. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Later drive to Tarangire Public Campsite for your dinner and overnight. 3 meals included.
Day 4
Arusha | Lake Manyara
Day 4 Lake Manyara After breakfast you will drive to Lake Manyara. Have a game drive in the park with a picnic lunch. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others. Later you will drive back to Arusha for your dinner and overnight at Panorama Inn in the adorable town Karatu. 3 meals included.
Day 5
Day 5 Hadzabe and Datoga tribe After a very early breakfast you will depart from your hotel at 5:00 am to go hunting with the Hadzabe tribe. They are among the last hunter-gatherers in the world. Follow them while they try to catch an animal right in front of you! Visit the Datoga tribe and other villages in the area. Later you will go to a Coffee Hotel in the mountains that border the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. If you're lucky you can see elephants in the distant jungle. Around the coffe hotel there are coffee plantations, avocado trees and more. 3 meals included.
Day 6
Serengeti
Day 6 Olduvai Gorge and Serengeti After breakfast you will head to the amazing Serengeti National Park. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. In . In the evening you will drive to your overnight at the Nguchiro Campsite. 3 meals included.
Day 7
Serengeti
Day 7 Serengeti After breakfast you will venture into the Serengeti's wilderness corners for a full-day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth's largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the late evening you will go to Nguchiro Campsite or similar campsite for rest, dinner and overnight. 3 meals included.
Day 8
Serengeti
Day 8 Serengeti This is undoubtably Tanzania's most famous park. Great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant's gazelle are resident at any time of the year. Lions and leopards easily seen. Haven't seen a leopard yet? Your guide will find it! Overnight at Nguchiro Campsite. 3 meals included.
Day 9
Ngorongoro Crater
Day 9 Ngorongoro Crater From the campsite you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a half day game drive inside the crater. This is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhino in Tanzania as well as the prides of lion that includes the magnificent black mined males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and the variety of water birds. Other animals that you may see include leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family and small mammals. Later drive back to Karatu for your overnight at Panorama Inn. 3 meals included.
Day 10
Day 10 Karatu, market, Jericho Orphanage After breakfast you will have a guided walk through the town of Karatu, later go to the market. This community market always takes place every 7th and 25th of every month. Here local people are selling clothes, shoes, food, cows, chicken, souvenirs, basically everything!Later you will walk to Jericho Orphanage, play football with the children or if you have any other ideas! Have dinner with the children and camp on our property. 3 meals included.
Day 11
Arusha
Day 11 End of safari Have breakfast at the orphanage. Drive back to Arusha. Breakfast included.
