Day 1 : Mikumi National Park

Your safari begins with a pick-up from Dar es Salaam, from your accommodation or arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport. You will meet your driver early in the morning and head to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes 3 – 4 hours and you will arrive in time to game viewing, and to enjoy a packed picnic lunch inside the park. In the early evening, head to your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight. Lunch box, dinner and overnight included.

Day 2 : Mikumi National Park
Mikumi
A full day to explore Mikumi National Park, without feeling rushed. Watch the herds of animals, spot a predator in the grass, or count the various birds spotted during your drive. Dinner and overnight at a camp/lodge. Full Board, all meals included. Top Attractions: giraffes, lions, leopards, families of hartebeest, and over 400 species of birds.

Day 3 : Nyerere National Park
Nyerere (Selous)
In early morning, depart for Nyerere National Park via Matombo and Kisaki to Mvuha Village (5 hours drive). This is not only Tanzania’s largest national park, but was recently recognized as the largest national park in all of Africa. Enjoy a packed lunch en-route, then a sunset game drive as you enter the park and meander to your overnight accommodations. Full Board, all meals included.

Day 4 : Nyerere National Park
Nyerere (Selous)
Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in Nyerere National Park, famous for elephants, lions and vast tracks of land where wild dogs hunt in packs. Full Board, all meals included. Top Attractions: Big predators such as lions and leopards. Nyerere Nat Park is one of the few places in Tanzania to see packs of wild dogs in their natural habitat.

Day 5 : Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, start with game viewing in the reserve towards Rufiji River Camp. In late afternoon go for a boat safari in the Rufiji River. Dinner and overnight at a camp/lodge. Full Board, all meals included. Top Attractions: Crocodiles, hippos and unique bird species during the boat safari.

Day 6 : Nyerere National Park
Nyerere (Selous)
Start the morning off with a walking expedition, accompanied by a park ranger. Then return to the camp/lodge for a hot breakfast before beginning the drive back to Dar es Salaam.
