Ngorongoro Crater

Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive toward the Ndutu area. The journey takes several hours, with scenic views along the way. After arriving in Ndutu, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions and other wildlife. During the January–March calving season, Ndutu attracts large herds of wildebeest and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Activities: Afternoon game drive

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive across the Ndutu plains. From January to March, the area is famous for the wildebeest calving season and abundant predators. Look out for wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other wildlife before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, leave Ndutu and drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos and other wildlife. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhinoceros. After the crater game drive, ascend and continue to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
