Arrival & Londorossi Gate to Shira

Kilimanjaro

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet our guide and crew. Drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, then begin your trek through lush rainforest. Ascend gradually to Shira 1 Camp, enjoying scenic views and the rich flora along the way. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp

Trek across the Shira Plateau, moving from moorlands to expansive highland scenery. The plateau offers stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Spend the evening at Shira 2 Camp resting and enjoying the sunset over the mountains.

Shira 2 to Barranco Camp

Head southeast toward Barranco Camp, crossing ridges and valleys. This route provides spectacular panoramic views and a sense of isolation from the busier trails. The camp lies beneath the towering Barranco Wall, where you can enjoy a short hike to help with acclimatization.
