Travel to Samburu

Samburu

Early after breakfast, travel to Samburu. Have an evening game drive. Expect glorious scenery, four of the Big Five (no rhino), hyenas, giraffes, hippos and zebras. Samburu highlights include some prized northern specialties, such as Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe

After breakfast, you will go on an a morning game drive, exploring more of Samburu’s rugged terrain. Watch wildlife gather by the Ewaso Nyiro River. Enjoy lunch at your lodge and later visit a Samburu community. Visit Samburu villages, where you will get a glimpse into their life. Enjoy traditional music, dance around a campfire – or discussions on tribal traditions and ways of life. Visit a traditional pre-school setup under a tree.

Travel to Olpejeta, Game drive

After a mighty breakfast, travel to Olpejeta, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. Have a game drive to look out for big 5s (lion, leopards, elephant, buffalo and rhinos) plus other big and small game. Spend time with the last two northern white rhinos on Earth as they move about their enclosure. It's an opportunity to learn about what is being done to fight off the extinction of this sub-species.

Travel to Lake Naivasha in the East African rift valley. Check in your accommodation and have a boat trip on Lake Naivasha. Scan the waters for hippos and enjoy the beauty of your surrounds when you take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha this afternoon. It's a good way to see the lake without the crowds.

Travel to Masai Mara

Start the day early to travel to Masai Mara, Kenya's iconic safari destination. Arrive in time for lunch and laterenjoy an evening game drive. Look out for lions, zebras, elephants, cheetahs and so on.

Enjoy a full day game drive only interrupted by a lunch break. Expect to see lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, rhinos, etc. We also visit the Mara River crossings. Every year, over 2.5 million wildebeests cross from Tanzania's Serengeti National Park in search for various reasons. They are followed by thousands of gazelles, zebras and many predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas.

Travel and cross into Tanzania via the Isebania boarder to Ndabaka the western side of Serengeti National park. Your accommodation is on the shore of Lake Victoria, the world's largest fresh water lake.

Today will be dedicated to unlimited game drives in the Seronera. This is the heart of the Serengeti. With about 4000 lions, 1000 leopards, 225 cheetahs, 3500 hyenas, hundreds of hunting dogs, the Serengeti is really action packed. Other animals to see include wildebeest, elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffalos etc.

Today, we are to do the Ngorongoro crater drive. The world’s largest intact volcano is home to many plant and animal species. It is home to elephant, lions, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, elands, hyenas, several birds etc. To some, it is the last garden of Eden. This you have to see for your self, thousands of animals, impressive views and the feeling of being here is different.

It is a day to immerse your self into the local culture. We are to spend the day in the legendary Mto Wa mbu village. Around 120 tribes live in this village. There is no better way of getting a taste of the culture than engaging in any of the optional activities in this village. Visit a Masai community. Enjoy a village tour which involves trying a banana beer, visiting a traditional home, enjoying a locally prepared lunch, and learning about the Makonde carving.

Known for large herds of elephants and baobab trees, Tarangire is a gem. It is home to the African big 5. The Tarangire river runs through the park and is the only permanent water source here. Spend a full day on game drive in search for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, elands and so much more.
