Itinerary

Transfer to Bwindi

Your safari guide will meet you in the morning after breakfast and give you a short briefing about the whole tour and then travel to Bwindi Forest. You will pass through the Ankole Kingdom home of the (Ankole cattle)/long horned cattle before you start seeing the terraced steep hills of the Kigezi region. On arrival you will check in your accommodation in Bwindi for dinner and overnight.

Bakiga Lodge

Gorilla Trekking

After having breakfast, we report at the gorilla trekking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable Forest with packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 1 to 7 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to enjoy the gorillas’ company. An hour you spend with the Uganda mountain gorillas is indeed one of the best wildlife encounters one can ever have.

Bakiga Lodge

Travel to Kampala

After breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation and then start the journey back to Kampala with a detour to Lake Bunyonyi. Bunyonyi is undoubtedly Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake, so sparing two hours to visit is worth it.
