Dar es Salaam to Nyerere

Nyerere (Selous)

Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport, you will be met by a representative from the Nature Quest Safaris and transferred to the Selous Game Reserve, also known as Nyerere National Park. This is a long drive that takes approximately 5-6 hours. You'll arrive at your camp in the late afternoon and ready for boat safari at Rufiji River, have dinner, and then relax around the campfire

After an early breakfast, head out on a morning game drive. Nyerere National Park is a vast and diverse wilderness area that is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many species of antelope. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive in the afternoon.

After breakfast, you'll travel to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes and traditional Tanzanian villages. You'll arrive in time for lunch, and in the afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive in the park. Keep an eye out for zebras, wildebeest, and impalas, as well as the park's predators, such as lions and leopards.

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The park is home to four of the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, and buffalos), and with a bit of luck, you might spot them all. You'll also have the opportunity to see some of the park's unique birdlife, including the Lilac-breasted Roller and the Bateleur Eagle.

After breakfast, you'll leave Mikumi behind and head to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. You'll spend the afternoon hiking through the park, exploring waterfalls and enjoying stunning views of the surrounding landscape
