Safari summary
Ssamba Foundation provides safe, affordable and a meaningful Uganda Volunteer Program. Your volunteer work through our Uganda childcare volunteering Safari project will provide the vulnerable children with the attention and mental stimulation that they need to develop healthy social skills and self-confidence.
Participating at our Uganda childcare volunteering safari project can make a large impact on both you and the children themselves. We recommend coming for four weeks or more if you are to make a great impact on the lives of these children. The voracious need these orphans have to seek and learn about any subject matter – sports, music, or farming – is both awe-inspiring and humbling.
Of course, it is not all hard work; volunteers will get an opportunity for fantastic wildlife safaris and to experience a region few tourists have reached. With its breathtaking location on the forested shores of Lake Victoria, Uganda offers unlimited opportunities for adventuring, volunteering, and traveling. This world famous safari destination surprises at every turn with its beautiful lakeshores, a century-old botanical garden alive with the chatter of acrobatic monkeys, friendly people, and colorful tropical birds.

Volunteer Work
You will be free to tutor the children, organize arts and crafts or sports activities, and help out with basic chores such as folding laundry. This volunteer project can be quite emotional when you see poverty close but you will be able to help and you will be given full training and support when participating. You won't be alone either; there will be volunteers from all over the world helping too.

Volunteer Work
Make the most of this opportunity by bringing about a positive change in the lives of the disadvantaged children; by providing them the love, care, and affection that they deserve. You will need to have a positive attitude and be able to create a fun environment for the children to live in. You could be just generally assisting with daily tasks, or even coming up with ideas like language lessons, music or leading sports activities.

Volunteer Work
You will be required to be fun, very patience and be able to be creative planning a weekly schedule for the children keeping them busy and occupied. Most of the kids at this children's centre are in the age group of 3 – 12 years, and they belong to a very compromised background, such that they often don't get the basic requirements as well.

Volunteer Work
This project will not only give you an opportunity of working with children, but it'll also get you closer to the local culture and lifestyle. You'll be interacting with the local staff at the center, and look deeper into the problems that persist in the developing society. Some of the children and locals might not speak English but you will be able to help them and you might even pick up some of the local language.
