This tour allows one to explore some pristine environments in Botswana while enjoying the cuisine and tranquility in some of the best accommodation establishments in the country. We will explore the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta is one of a very few large inland delta systems without an outlet to the sea and its waters drain instead into the desert sands of the Kalahari Basin. This habitat supports huge herds of large game, predators and birds. After a 3-night stay in the Okavango Delta, we will make our way to a yet another drier but prime wildlife spot, the Savuti Marsh. It is renowned for its concentration of predators. A drive northward will take us to a 2-night stay in a houseboat on the Chobe River. Let us end our expedition by visiting one of the wonders of the world, the mighty Victoria Falls, exploring it both on foot and air.

Khwai Concession (Moremi Reserve)

Your guide will pick you up at Maun Airport upon arrival. We will drive to Khwai Concession at a location along the Khwai River forming a natural border between Moremi Game Reserve and the concession. Elephant, Buffalo, Hippos are common sightings, with high chances of big cats including Lion and Leopards. There are chances of encountering endangered carnivores like the African Wild dogs and Cheetah. Today we will embark on a sundowner drive after checking in.

Today we have a full day game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve. This area’s highlight is the high concentrations of plains game and resulting predators, including big cats. Let us experience herds of elephants, buffalo with greater chances of encountering lions, leopard among others. Enjoying a picnic lunch in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by wildlife is a great adventure. After dinner, we will embark on a night drive in search of nocturnal fauna.

After breakfast, we will embark on an adventurous dug-out canoe (locally known as Mekoro) and explore the Khwai River. It is quite a different experience to encounter wildlife this way. After lunch at the lodge and relaxation, we will embark on an afternoon game drive in the Khwai Concession. Besides a range of mammalian encounter, Khwai Concession is known as the raptor capital of Botswana. Over 500 bird species found here, one may list over 8 raptor species. Prolific birding is guaranteed.

After breakfast, we will embark on an enroute game drive to our destination, the Savuti Concession. We are moving from the wetlands to the relatively drier habitat, still with a little touch of water in the form of marshes. Wildlife is rich, experience some predator action in this area. Upon arrival, check in and relaxation, let us go on an afternoon game drive.

Let us embark on a full day diversified activity today. This includes a game drive to the Savuti Marsh, Ghoha Hills, and the Bushmen (San People) Rock Paintings. Picnic lunch, 4 x 4 driving, the unforgettable journey, folks let us enjoy it while it lasts! The enroute semi-night drive back to the lodge may result in encountering elusive nocturnal species beginning their night activities.

After a relaxing morning and leisurely breakfast, we will take a drive to the town of Kasane, where we will embark on a houseboat on the Chobe River. Besides huge herds of elephants, mammals here include Red Lechwe, Puku, Giraffe, Greater Kudu, Roan and Sable antelopes, Common Impala, Warthog, Chobe Bushbuck, Vervet Monkey and Chacma Baboon, along with the accompanying predators such as Lion, Leopard, Hyaena and Black-backed Jackal, who are never far away.

Still on the houseboat, let us experience what both the Chobe National Park and the Chobe River can offer us in terms wildlife, luxury and relaxation. Folks, enjoy the Quadripoint where four countries meet. Have all meals and experience at your own pace.

Still on the houseboat, we will continue our expedition on the Chobe River until we get dropped off in the town of Kasane. Surely, let us embark on an afternoon game drive after being on the Chobe River for 2 nights. With luck, we will experience wildlife including herds of elephants, hippos and many more. Birding is prolific as well.

Today, we will do a full day Victoria Falls experience. “Come to Victoria Falls, down in Zimbabwe”! This day trip will take us to one of the wonders of the world. Experience the smoke that thunders both on foot and on air. After this busy day, we will cross the border back to Botswana and enjoy the tranquility of our luxury hotel along the Chobe River.
