Itinerary
Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkb
Kilimanjaro
In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by our driver, who will drive you to the Londorossi gate. Once at the gate, you will be registered, and you will need to sign some papers. After registration, you will be driven up a bumpy track that will take you into the dense rainforest to the drop-off point where your trek begins. You will follow a moderately steep track that leads you through an amazing and unspoiled natural forest to Mkubwa Camp.
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira Camp 2
Kilimanjaro
On this day, the trek will start on a small trail that passes through the rainforest. As you climb, the forest gradually thins out and the landscape changes into heath and moorland, where plants like Erica and Lobelia start to dominate the landscape. You will cross the Shira Ridge and reach Shira Camp 1. Here you will stop for lunch, relax a bit and enjoy the fantastic views of Mt Meru and the Rift Valley. For the last part of the climb, you will climb another 400 meters in altitude.
Day 3:Shira 2 to Barranco Camp
Kilimanjaro
This day you will climb approximately 740 m, but you will spend the night at an elevation only slightly higher than the previous night. This will allow your body to cope with the climatic change. The trek begins with a long ascent above the Shira Plateau in the direction of the Lava Tower. The climb passes through the wide Barranco Valley, which has lobelia and giant Senecio plants.
Day 4: Barranco to Karanga
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, you will leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge, passing the Barranco Wall, to the Karanga Valley campsite. Then, you will leave Karanga and hit the junction that connects with the Mweka Trail. In the afternoon, you can relax and stretch your legs in preparation for the upcoming summit.
Day5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Kilimanjaro
On this day, you will continue up to the Barafu Hut. At this point, you have completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here you will make camp, rest, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the summit day. The two peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo are to be seen from this position.
Day 6: Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp
Kilimanjaro
Very early in the morning (midnight to 2 am), you will continue your way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You head in a north-westerly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. At Stella Point, you will stop for a short rest and be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see (if the weather permits).
Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, you will continue the descent down to the Mweka Park gate to receive your summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and t-shirts will probably be plenty to wear. After you have arrived at the gate, you will be picked up by our driver and brought back to your hotel. Be prepared for the safari tour, which starts early in the morning in Arusha.
Day 8: Tarangire National Park
Tarangire
After breakfast, the tour departs. Our first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterwards, we head towards Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day:9 Serengeti National Park
Serengeti
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then we heard about the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park
Serengeti
Early morning game drive to see also nocturnal animals returning from hunting and lions awaking in the dawn, followed by a full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year, the Great Migration, and the movements of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Campsite
Day 11: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning game drive, and after departing to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. Late afternoon transfer to the lodge, where you will have dinner and overnight
Day 12: Ngorongoro to Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a wide variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard
