It is the closest large town to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), it is the closest town to Mt Kilimanjaro and it is a great departure point for safaris. AWTA is a Tanzanian owned and operated tour company. We promise you friendly and expert services whether you are scaling the tallest mountain in Africa, searching for wildlife in the Serengeti, exploring the exotic culture of Zanzibar. We are catering to clients who are in search of the best value services without sacrificing quality and safety. As a result, we guarantee that we will not be the least expensive tour operator. There will always be someone willing to cut corners that we refuse to do. We have too much pride in our services to do that. On the other hand, we will be far from the most expensive. We don't have offices in foreign cities or large marketing departments. We just have our reputation and word of mouth from our clients to build on.
