Tarangire National Park Size: 2,850 sq km (1,100 sq mi) Distance from Moshi: Approximately 200 km (124 mi) southwest Description: Named after the Tarangire River, which runs through the park and is a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season, Tarangire National Park is known for its large population of elephants and baobab trees. The park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a variety of bird species. Serengeti National Park Size: 14,750 sq km (5,700 sq mi) Distance from Moshi: Approximately 330 km (205 mi) west Description: One of the most famous national parks in Africa, Serengeti is known for its vast plains, stunning wildlife sightings, and the annual wildebeest migration. Visitors can witness predators like lions and cheetahs hunting prey, as well as spot elephants, giraffes, and hippos. The park is also home to a range of bird species. Arusha National Park Size: 137 sq km (52.9 sq mi) Distance from Moshi: Approximately 60 km (37 mi) northeast Description: Located at the base of Mount Meru, Arusha National Park is a small but beautiful park with a diverse range of landscapes, including lush forests, sparkling lakes, and the rugged slopes of Mount Meru itself. It is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a range of primates.

About our safari vehicles

Vehicle Type The vehicles used during safari in Tanzania are typically 4WD Toyota Land Cruisers or similar vehicles that have been specially adapted for safari use. These vehicles have open roofs for optimal game viewing and are equipped with comfortable seats, seatbelts, and storage space for equipment and luggage. The vehicles are regularly serviced and well-maintained to ensure safety and reliability during the safari. Additionally, they are equipped with communication systems such as radios or mobile phones for emergency situations. Short Base (4-Passengers) Fitted with three opening game viewing roof hatches or pop-up roof with a large luggage space behind the seats and roof rack for camping gear. Removable sun shade cloth, 2 spare tires, VHF radio call, tool kit, high lift jack., tow rope, jump leads, cool box holder. Larger leg space than land rover. Long Base (6-Passengers) Ideal for bigger groups or families. Fitted with full size hatches, giving a prime game viewing position to all passengers, luggage space behind the seats and a roof rack for camping gear. 1 or 2 spare tire(s), HF radio call, tool kit, jack, tow rope and jump leads. Spacious leg room and cabin. Note: On lodge-only safaris you will only need a driver so the car would hold a maximum of 6 (resp. 8) people. If you are using a tented-camp, semi-luxury tented camp or mixed lodge/camping option, you will also be accompanied by a cook. In that case the car will hold a maximum of 5 (resp. 7) people.
