Safari summary
This 8-day Serengeti wildebeest migration safari is an unforgettable adventure that takes you to the captivating northern Tanzanian popular destinations. This extraordinary journey starts in Arusha and ends in Arusha town. During July, the wildebeest migration crosses the river northward and travels through the areas of Lobo and Wagakuria on its way to Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve. The wildebeest herds are dispersed over Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve and the northern Serengeti National Park in September. There are still a number of sizable herds of wildebeest in the region, and occasionally weather shifts may cause the herds to return from the Mara. In October, the herds travel through the Serengeti National Park's Lobo region as they head south into the park's center.
Each day will bring new discoveries and unforgettable experiences as you traverse the Serengeti's diverse ecosystems and encounter its rich wildlife. From the stunning vastness of the endless plains to the dramatic river crossings, this safari promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
The first destination on this remarkable safari is the amazing Tarangire, which is famous for its large elephant herds, the legendary Serengeti for the annual wildebeest migration, the wonderful Ngorongoro for its stunning crater and abundant wildlife, and the unique Lake Manyara for its diverse birdlife and tree-climbing lions.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha town to Tarangire
Tarangire
We drive to Tarangire National Park from Arusha for our wildlife drive. The amazing baobab trees, often known as the Tree of Life for the nearly legendary abilities that certain cultures attach to it, and the enormous herds of elephants make up one of Tanzania's largest national parks, which is located in the Manyara region. The Tarangire River, which runs through this park year-round and is the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons, is its most notable feature.

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti
Serengeti
We drive to the Central Serengeti after breakfast. This park is well-known for having a thriving population of local animals, especially the "big five," which were named for the five most valuable hunting trophies: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos.
camp/ lodge
Day 3: Full day in Serengeti
Following the Great Migration paths, we will go on a full-day game drive in the bush after breakfast. You will learn fascinating details about this well-known occasion, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa, from our knowledgeable driving tour guide.

Day 4: Serengeti
Continue on a full-day game drive to see the gigantic migration in the Mara region. The Wagakuria region has a particularly high density of local animals. The Mara River is the main feature, and there is a good probability that you will see the herds cross it to the north on one day and back to the south on another day. Please be aware that seeing a crossing can be very challenging depends on luck. A herd is seen adjacent to the river, but they don't decide to cross until a few days later.

Day 5: Serengeti
We will proceed to Serengeti North to see the huge migration at the Mara area after breakfast. The Mara River is the main feature, and it's not unusual to see the herds cross it once, heading north, and then again, heading south, a few days later. Please be aware that it can occasionally be a matter of luck to find a crossing. A herd may occasionally be sighted along the river, although it may not cross until a few days later.
camp/ lodge
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
We'll go on another Serengeti National Park game drive in the morning. In the late afternoon, we travel to the Olduvai Gorge Museum in the renowned East African archaeological site of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Some of the earliest evidence of people in the world may be found at Laetoli, 45 km south of Olduvai gorge, where you can see hominin footprints preserved in volcanic rock from 3.6 million years ago.
camp/ lodge
Day 7: Ngorongoro crater
An early-morning game drive across the Ngorongoro Crater is where we begin. With the renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a sizable highland region along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley. To protect wildlife and other natural resources, Ngorongoro was built. Additionally, it promotes tourism and protects the interests of indigenous people.
camping / lodge
Day 8: Lake Manyara
Drive to Lake Manyara for a morning game drive after breakfast. In the late afternoon, we return to Arusha or meet you at the airport.
