Itinerary
Cape Town to Namaqualand
We depart Cape Town for the town of Vanrynsdorp where we will be spending the next two nights. As we drive along the N7 national road, you will witness ever changing landscapes of the Swartland and Namaqualand regions. We stop off along the way in the town of Clanwilliam and pay a visit to the Ramskop Nature Garden. From there we continue to Vanrynsdorp where we experience and enjoy the world famous Kokkerboom Nursery.
Vanryns Pass, Nieuwoudtville
After a nice breakfast we head on over the Knersvlakte up to Nieuwoudtville via the spectacular Vanrhyns Pass. This area is known as the bulb capital of the world where we will spend the day exploring this fascinating area visiting amongst other things the spectacular and unexpected Nieuwoudville waterfall and the amazing Quiver Tree Forest. Another highlight for the day is a visit to the farms of Matjiesfontein and Papkuilsfontein.
West Coast National Park
We have an early start to the day, as the last day of our flower safari will be spent exploring the flowers of the West Coast and the West Coast National Park. From there we will continue further into West Coast National Park, paying a visit to Postberg Flower Reserve, which will be the highlight of the day as this part of the park is only open two months of the year. We return to Cape Town to conclude our flower safari.
